Skills covered are adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, use of a pocket face mask, foreign body airway obstruction, and the use of the automated external defibrillator. The basic first aid portion of the course covers patient assessment, bleeding and fracture management, cardiac emergencies and other acute injuries and illnesses. Students receive a credentialed course completion card good for 2 years.

First Aid Basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more) Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, shock and more) Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, burns and more) Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies).

BLS Provider (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

This course is for healthcare providers. Adult, child & infant CPR, foreign body airway obstruction in conscious and unconscious patients, use of barrier protection (pocket masks), bag valve mask ventilation (BVM’s) and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator are covered in this course. There is a written and skills evaluation. Students receive the BLS Providers course completion card good for 2 years.

BLS Provider Refresher Course (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)

This course is for licensed or non-licensed healthcare providers and Lifeguards.
Students must show a current or recently expired BLS card prior to taking this course. All of the skills are covered and there is a written and skills evaluation. Books are available for review during the course. Students receive a course completion card good for 2 years. You may purchase a student e-manual during registration.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills simulated clinical scenarios that encourage Active participation.  Hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.  Classroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills. 

A current or recently expired BLS certification card must be shown prior to class.
$240 – includes student manual.

ACLS Refresher Course

This is the practice/skills portion for the “Online ACLS with Skills check” for participants with a strong ACLS background. Keycode for the online classroom and test are purchased through the AHA website. Then you can schedule your practice and skills session with us.

ACLS Instructor Course

Prior to taking the Instructor Course, candidates must have a current course completion card in ACLS.

How the ACLS Instructor Essentials Course works

The ACLS Instructor Essentials Course is taught in a blended-learning format.  To become an AHA ACLS Instructor, candidates must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on session, which is classroom based.  The online portion of the course contains both core content and discipline-specific modules to prepare the instructor candidates for the hands-on session. In the classroom, our Faculty will continue preparing instructor candidates to become AHA instructors by focusing on the in-depth material about the ACLS discipline that candidates will be teaching.  The hands-on session includes instruction, practice, and an exam, allowing instructor candidates to successfully use their instructor materials and skills.

The ACLS Instructor Essentials Course is for instructor candidates who have already successfully completed the ACLS Provider Course.

Upon successful completion of all steps, candidates receive an ACLS Instructor card, valid for two years.
