The American Heart Association Instructor Course teaches you everything needed to effectively instruct and certify others in the American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Heartsaver Courses.
The ideal Instructor Candidate is motivated to teach and facilitate learning in order to provide their students with the necessary skills for them to be able to successfully complete their course.
Prospective Students must:
- 1. Have a current certification card and a current provider manual in the discipline they wish to teach.
- 2. Have completed the Instructor Candidate Application, provided at class.
- 3. Complete the monitoring process. After successful completion of the course, all prospective Instructors must be monitored conducting a class before the Instructor Certification Card will be issued.
The fee for the Course is $375. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due at registration. The fee includes the Instructor’s manual. If needed, the BLS Course DVD is available for an additional $70 and the Heartsaver CPR/AED/FA DVD’s are available for an additional $150. There are no additional fees.
Instructors aligned with our Training Center may rent equipment from us in order to teach classes. You may also teach for us on an as need basis. For more information or to register for a class, please call the office at 631-724-3537.
